8. Indemnity

9. Commission Terms (including Deposit, Late Payment & Client Responsibilities)
9.1. All commissions require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the booking. Work will not begin until the deposit is received.
9.2. Bespoke artwork is exempt from cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once work has begun.
9.3. The client will be provided with approval checkpoints (e.g., initial sketch and near-final review). Approval at each checkpoint confirms acceptance and authorises the artist to proceed.
9.4. Final payment is required before dispatch or collection.
9.5. Delivery timeframes apply only once full payment has been received.
9.6. If the client fails to respond to approval requests or communication within 14 days, the commission may be paused or terminated. The deposit remains fully non-refundable and may be used to cover time, labour and materials already invested.
9.7. Payment is due within 7 days of invoice. Where legally permissible, late payments may incur statutory interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (8% above the Bank of England base rate), or as otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Severance
10.1. If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable by a UK court, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
11.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
11.2. Any disputes arising in connection with the Website or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
