Processing, Shipping & Returns Policy

1. Order Processing
1.1. All orders are processed within 1–3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays).
1.2. Fine art prints are made-to-order. Production begins once your order is confirmed and is completed within 2 business days. Producing prints to order helps reduce waste and ensures your print is freshly made.
1.3. If we anticipate delays beyond the stated timeframe, we will contact you using the details provided at checkout.
2. Delivery & Dispatch
2.1. Once dispatched, estimated delivery times are:
United Kingdom: 1–2 business days
Europe: 3–5 business days
Worldwide: 5–7 business days
2.2. All delivery times are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to courier delays, strikes, customs checks, adverse weather, technical issues, or global events.
2.3. All orders are sent using a tracked service. Where available, you may receive tracking updates via email or text from the courier. Tracking may take up to 48 hours to update after dispatch.
2.4. Address Accuracy:
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the shipping address is accurate and complete. Christopher Abrams cannot be held responsible for delays, non-delivery, or loss resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information provided at checkout.
3. Customs, Duties & Taxes
3.1. For orders delivered outside the United Kingdom, customs charges, import taxes, duties, handling fees, or local VAT may apply. These fees are set by the destination country’s customs authority.
3.2. Such charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost and are payable by the customer.
3.3. Christopher Abrams is not responsible for delays caused by customs processes.
4. Returns & Refunds
4.1. Made-to-Order Prints
4.1.1. All prints are made-to-order and therefore considered bespoke. As such, they are non-refundable unless the item is damaged, defective, or materially incorrect.
4.1.2. This aligns with UK consumer regulations regarding custom or personalised items.
4.2. Original Artwork & Ready-Made Items
4.2.1. For original artworks and other ready-made products (e.g., bookmarks, pins, magnets), customers may request a return within 14 days of receiving the item.
4.2.2. Items must be:
unused,
undamaged,
returned in their original packaging,
suitable for resale.
4.2.3. The customer is responsible for the cost and risk of return shipping. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured service.
4.2.4. Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the item was faulty.
4.3. Commissions & Custom Work
4.3.1. Commissioned artwork is non-refundable once production has begun or if the artwork has been delivered.
4.3.2. Deposits for commissions (including 50% non-refundable deposits) are strictly non-refundable, as they cover time, materials, and the bespoke nature of the work.
5. Damaged or Faulty Items
5.1. Any damage or defect must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
5.2. Please provide the following:
clear photographs of the damage,
photographs of the packaging,
your order number,
any courier notes (e.g., “damaged” marked at signature).
5.3. Once verified, we will offer either:
a replacement (if available), or
a refund for the affected item.
5.4. Damage caused by mishandling after delivery (e.g., framing damage, accidental drops, exposure to moisture) is not eligible for replacement or refund.
6. Cancellations
6.1. Orders may be cancelled before dispatch. However, if production has already begun (particularly for prints), cancellation may not be possible or may incur a charge for work and materials already completed.
6.2. Commissions cannot be cancelled once work has begun.
7. Ownership & Risk
7.1. Ownership of goods passes to the customer once the order is dispatched.
7.2. Risk passes upon delivery to the address supplied at checkout or upon collection from a courier depot if applicable.
